Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body

At the onset of the ROTS DVD release, there are Star Wars line documentaries aplenty on the horizon. Starting out with...

Star Wait, by Mike Rotman, a documentary on the Episode II line at the Grauman's Chinese in 2002, is at long last arriving on DVD this Tuesday to coincide with the ROTS DVD release and is loaded with an interesting slew of commentary tracks, including the guys from Mystery Science Theater.

LiningUpTV: Fans Gone Wild!, by Art Douglas and Justin Sewell, is a feature on the 2005 Episode III line culminated from hours of footage from Art's camera as well as our line webcam and edited in a "TV" style. Starring hundreds of line members and dozens of celebrities, expect it to be ready for release in late November. Watch the teaser here and the trailer here (QT7 required).

The Beginning of the End, by Erik Deutscher, is another documentary on the Episode III line on its way to release in the near future. You can watch the trailer here (QT7 required).

There are other documentaries on the way, but none that are only about the Episode III line that I know of. I'll keep you posted.

Bad Religion - The Defense

FOUR STRIKES IN A ROW. 181. BOOYAH. :)

I just bowled my best game ever. In all my life, I've somehow never gotten a turkey (three strikes in a row). I got four in a row, which was immediately followed by an embarrassing gutterball and a spare. So sans gutterball, that would have been five in a row. Not to mention I got a final score of 181, beating my previous record of 163, I think. Awesome.

Oh yeah, I'm in a bowling league.

Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To

Back from the Death Valley trip, and that was pretty awesome. Still a bit sore from all the hiking in the heat. Seriously, walking through sand dunes are like the best workout. See, I've been to Death Valley long ago, but that was before I saw Star Wars, let alone know it harbored several shooting locations. Now I know I've been to the exact same place where the Tusken Raiders were, Artoo's Arroyo, and the road to Jabba's Palace. It's a euphoric feeling. Too bad I still don't have a camera, but Mike brought his.

Why does the lawn in front of the CSUN Oviatt Library have to be so depressing all the time? Yay, it's Columbus Day, here's a feather for every 50,000 Native Americans slaughtered.

Over the past couple weeks I've been pretty stressed out over schoolwork, and thus I've been a bit depressed. Fortunately, today has been a good day so far. Lots of good luck headed my way. Hope it lasts.

This rocks. I'm blogging from the CSUN Botanical Garden. This place gets a wireless signal.

Fifty thumbnails. FIFTY FREAKING THUMBNAILS. Who needs that much preparation for an experimental type book? I mean come on, it's graphic design. Half of what we do is "winging it." Instead, I'm here drawing composition after composition of crap that I could already be getting done with Illustrator. My computer is my sketchpad, not some... actual paper! Gah!

With the Star Wars movies being over, I have little to look forward to anymore. Ever since I was 11 and I first saw Star Wars, I grew up knowing that there would be another Star Wars movie in a few years. There was always something great and fulfilling to aspire towards. If I was stressed out over some upcoming violin recital while I was in junior high, I'd think about how Episode I is coming out soon and I'd perservere to get to it. If I was worrying about some enormous project I had to get done for a class in high school, I'd think about how Episode II is coming out soon and I'd trudge through. And even though I found Episode II utterly disappointing, all I could think about for the past few years was how Episode III was coming out soon, and if I wanted to see it, I'd have to deal with my problems. I was 19 when the last Star Wars movie came out. Now I'm 20 and there won't be any more Star Wars. At the moment, I have the Death Valley trip this weekend to look forward to (so I'd better get those thumbnails ready for Thursday), and then theres the ROTS DVD release, then what?

Life is gonna be hard without Star Wars.

Back in the heyday of early 2005, my blog was getting some serious hits. At the peak of its existence, as soon as I became first in line, I stopped it dead in its tracks. Now let's see if anyone notices I've sorta started blogging again. :)

Enetation is fixed! The comments are back online.

And as a favor for Nick:
